Altamont Jesse Michaels Collaboration Product Launch
Early rock n’ rock birthed greaser jeans. Madonna and Jean-Paul Gaultier reinvented the whirlpool corset. The Sex Pistols and Vivienne Westwood violated norms with studded leather. The intersected history of music and fashion is the stuff of raw creativity and culture-shifting collaborations — and continues today with Altamont. Inspired by skateboarding, art and music, the apparel company launched in 2017 a music collaboration with Jesse Michaels of seminal punk band Operation Ivy. Altamont tapped Reveille to give Michaels the opportunity to talk with music media about his art and, of course, his first collaboration with the brand. Our work resulted in 11 million impressions among epochal outlets, including Alternative Press, New Noise, Punk Globe and Vice Noisey, in which Altamont’s key messaging and positioning was communicated and Michaels reflected on 30 years of East Bay punk.
